A Few Photos In And Around Westcliffe, Colorado (4/1/2006)
Today I decided to do a little bit of driving throughout
Fremont County and Custer County. The adjacent photo is of the Arkansas River
in Cotopaxi. I love the orange-colored rocks in the background.
I then wound up in Westcliffe, Colorado, a really small but scenic town in Custer County. Here's a downtown photo. Now I must say that this town is largely known for its stunning mountains scenery, as the Sangre De Cristo Mountains stand tall west of town.
Just west of Sliver Cliff and Westcliffe, I pulled over and took this shot of the mountains looking north.
Now this shot was also taken right from my car. I was just north of Wetmore, heading towards Florence in Fremont County. That range way out there is the Pikes Peak mountain range.
