Scott and I had just finished hiking up to Agnes Vaille Falls in the Chalk Cliffs area and we decided to take a quick drive to St. Elmo, one of the best preserved ghost towns in all of Colorado. |

Many of the homes are privately owned, but picture-taking (as I understand) is an encouraged alternative to trespassing. |

St. Elmo is just six miles from Tincup Pass, and the bumpy
4-wheel road begins here. I had the joy of 4-wheeling up to Tincup Pass two weeks ago, and you
