July 11, 2006 - We had just finished a hike along the Continental Divide at Independence Pass
and were on the narrow stretch of Highway 82 on the Lake County side. I noticed Mt. Champion,
the large mountain in view, and I simply stuck my digital camera outside the passenger window
and snapped this photo. The road leading to Independence Pass on both sides
are extremely scenic from Aspen to Twin Lakes, by the way.
I make no promises, but maybe I'll head into that gulch that goes along the base
of Mt. Champion sometime and scope the place out. ;)
