Fatty's Pizzeria & Pasta (Breckenridge)
After hiking the very scenic Spruce Creek Trail outside of Breckenridge,
I was looking for a high-energy place to "pig out" on some grub with a good microbrew while
watching the Sunday football games.
My buddy and I found Fatty's pizzeria on 106 Ridge Street (one block east of the main avenue)
in Breckenridge. I ordered the barbeque chicken pizza which was fantastic. What was also great
was the ten to twelve televisions throughout the bar & grill area, in which one could watch
practically any NFL game happening at any given moment.
The Loop Mexican Food (Manitou Springs)
"The Loop" is a cozy mexican restaurant in downtown Manitou Springs
at 965 Manitou Avenue. The free "bottomless" chips and salsa are very
good or order some chili con queso if you're in the mood for fun.
Service is typically very quick and the dishes have always been right "on the spot".
For awhile, while I lived in this town, I spent every Saturday
evening with a buddy at the place! Great ambiance. If possible, get a window
seat and "people watch". I'm not much of a margarita drinker, but "The Loop" is
well-known for their large and tasty margaritas of many flavors.
Coyote Cantina (Johnson Village)
So you're on the road in central Colorado and you're looking for a nice place to eat along the way.
"Anything but fast food or gas station snacks", you think.
The Coyote Cantina Mexican Restaurant and Bar just might be a good place.
Located in Johnson Village (close to Buean Vista), the Coyote Cantina has a laid-back,
Western bar & grill feel with downright amazing entrees. I recommend the "grande burrito"
with green chili and nacho cheese. Sigh! It's to die for! :)
