I snapped the adjacent photo of
Mt. Princeton
as I headed westbound on Highway 24 towards Johnson Village. At the time, I thought
the impressive view of this mountain would be the highlight of my drive. |
 |
Ah, but when I returned to my driveway in Buena Vista,
I noticed three deer happily eating grass. |
 |
I took quite a few pictures of these deer as I sat
quietly as possible in my car. This is my best zoom-in photo of this deer who was alarmed at my presence. |
 |
I very slowly and non-threateningly entered my front
entrance, and within minutes, the deer slowly walked across my small backyard.
In the bottom photo, the larger deer caught the movement of my arm holding out my digital camera.

The deer continued on in their walk as they scoped
out the grass. I did capture this one final photo of a younger deer looking at me with a semi-alarmed look! :)
