Colorado Pictures - Scenery In Summit County And Georgetown, Colorado

COLORADO SCENERY PICTURES (Summit County, Colorado) - April 7, 2006

I was meeting a friend in Georgetown and begin my mini-pictorial with a shot of the snowy mountains on the western side of Fremont Pass. This is going downhill towards the Copper Mountain ski resort.

At a scenic pullover on Interstate 70 (near Frisco), I got a shot of Dillon Reservoir with mountains in the background.

West of Silverthorne, I-70 heads west to the Continental Divide. There is some downright beautiful mountain scenery along this stretch, as seen by those snowy white mountains. This is Colorado at its best folks! :)

Georgetown is a small town with a population of approximately 1,000 people. There is a small downtown area with quite a few attractive and restored historic buildings.
